Senior Associate, Payroll Operations

Please note: This is a 100% remote full-time opportunity and you can work from any location within India.

 

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Senior Executive to join the Payroll Operations team. As a Senior Executive, you will be responsible for processing and managing the company’s payroll, benefits and compliance to provide an efficient and effective payroll service that ensures users are provided with accurate information at all times.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage complete end to end payroll process of India and interact with vendors to process payroll of international locations.
  • Input monthly payroll data and update accurately in payroll system to ensure processing into monthly payroll calendar agreed cut off times
  • Processing of all new joiners, departures, miscellaneous changes, transfers and other amendments to employees pay data in compliance with policy and payroll requirements
  • Checking the accurate calculation of employees pay Gross to Net, ensuring you know how the payroll system achieves the results
  • Have a full understanding of the Audit Process and ensure all audit reports are complete and ready for review in a timely manner
  • Act as a Single Point of Contact to resolve employee queries
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
  • Developing ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
  • Manage certain time bound processes and ensure validation of data to be accurate and truthful i.e. Investments declaration, Form 16s, Tax Returns etc
  • Responsible for MIS and Analytics regarding payroll and employee benefits with standardization of reports for better decision making
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure smooth payroll processing.

 

Experience and Skills required:

  • A minimum 3 years of experience in India payroll processing.
  • Sound knowledge in salary accounting and salary calculation – break up of salary, revision and tax calculation.
  • Well versed with HR operations like joining formalities, issuing letters, handling personal files of employees, statutory requirements etc.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to interact with vendors for international transactions.
  • Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality.
  • Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Enjoy working independently and as part of a team.
