Manager, HR Operations

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Manager, HR Operations to lead the Generalist Operations team. 

This role will aim to build operational excellence in HR operations team for more than 1100 employees (on roll and contract) across the globe. The role entails managing delivery of all HR services and support to our employees in the most effective and efficient manner, creating best in class employee experience. This role will include vendor management, process and policy, operational audits, data management, records management, HR analytics, and implementing new modules/changes, maintaining and enhancing the internal HRIS on the operational side.



  • Generalist Operations: Ensure that entire process for the employee lifecycle from hire to exit for on roll and contract employees is carried out as per SOP framework across all locations. This includes new position management, new hire onboarding, new hire documentation, induction, post induction integration activities, on time probation activities, processing salary revision, ad hoc letters, performance management roll out, updated employee data and record management, off boarding, etc.
  • HRIS Management: Own the core HRIS and maintain data sanctity by running periodic audits and using streamlined input processes. Suggest improvements to existing modules and deploy fixes for operational modules and processes. Implement any new HRIS operational modules when needed.
  • Policy, Process and Audits: Create, review and amend policies and SOPs for all HR operations processes in a timely manner. Run periodic internal audits to ensure adherence to them. Lead external operational audits and implement findings/fixes where observed.
  • Service Delivery: Ensure on TAT delivery of all operational processes and employee queries. Maintain comprehensive dashboards and tracking mechanisms to identify and fix gaps and service delivery failures.
  • HR MIS and Analytics: Manage and deep dive into various form of internal data and systems to prepare reports and carry out advance talent modelling for key business decisions. Use data analysis to help influence changes to the process or programs by collaborating with business partners/other stakeholders. Provide monthly talent dashboards, employee attrition reports, Headcount & Payroll dashboard, and various other reports, as and when required.
  • Projects/New Initiatives: Work with relevant stakeholders to understand and evaluate existing processes to explore process improvement and automation. Build a vision roadmap for operations to enable further operational excellence and seamless global talent management.


Requirements (Desired skills and experience):

  • 4-6 years of prior experience with strong exposure to HR operations including HRIS or HR systems,  policy and process management, vendor management, preferably in a fast growing E-commerce firm or service setup catering to associate level employees (non-managerial staff)
  • MBA or post graduate certification in HR
  • Data-driven with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, hyper-growth environments, can firefight and multi task well
  • Ability to manage and direct a team to inspire high performance
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, can own complex problem statement or abstract ideas/projects with little direction
  • Global employee exposure is desirable, but not mandatory
