Graphic Designer

This is a designer on contract opportunity. As a remote position, the candidate must have basic hardware for their remote workspace, including a working desktop or laptop computer reliable WIFI, and a smartphone or landline.

About Impact Science

We are Impact Science, the strategic communication and amplification brand of Cactus Communications (www.cactusglobal.com) , conceived to provide author-centric bespoke services to enhance research impact throughout and beyond the project life cycles. We use nuanced understanding of digital communication to aid government agencies, publishers, journals, and academic societies with the repurposing and marketing of traditionally published scientific content to both niche and lay audiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide compelling visual solutions as graphic designer.
• Collaborate with content team and video team to deliver high-quality graphics needed for brochures, banners, flyers, social media posts, infographics, and videos.
• Collaborate with content experts to brainstorm new ideas to represent concepts, design wireframes and mood board.
• Reviewing your peers and freelancers outputs ensuring it meets the client expectations.
• Create exciting social media collaterals in the form of banners, carousels, brochures, flyers for audiences such as universities, institutions, publishers, academic societies, medical professionals, researchers and authors.

Requirements (Desired skills & experience)

• Graduate degree (in any field).
• 5-6 years of experience in graphic designing industry.
• Someone who is excited to create and review marketing collaterals such as banners, brochures, flyers, social media posts, etc.
• Experience in graphic designing, illustrations, creating marketing collaterals such as banners, brochures, flyers, etc.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop). Creating designs in PPT is an added advantage.
• Ability to communicate effectively with content experts.
• Ability to work independently to deliver as per project requirements and in-house style.
• Good written English-language skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to meet extremely tight deadlines and multi-task.
• Ability to review your peers and freelancers’ output.
