Digital Marketing Manager, Japan

Overview

As the Digital Marketing Manager, you will lead digital marketing campaigns from conceptualisation to execution with a focus on advertising and sales promotion. In addition, the incumbent will lead the SEM team.

You will be a member of the Japan Marketing Department of Editage, an international English editing and translation brand that helps researchers publish academically.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, track and optimize effectiveness of media strategies, with a focus on SEM and SNS, to obtain conversions for the company's brands
  • Lead overall project progress management and production practices for Chimu, including strategy planning for Goolge, Yahoo listing ads, display and retargeting ads, and SEO.
  • Provide creative insights for production direction, focusing on digital (banner ads, video ads, LPs, articles for content marketing, etc. production or giving instructions and proposing improvements)
  • Pioneering and proposing new marketing methods
  • Planning and execution of outreach and sales promotion strategies for new service launches
  • Propose and execute nurturing initiatives for prospective clients
  • Develop and manage budget and conduct ROI analysis.
  • Manage and train the team, coordinate with overseas teams, negotiate and communicate with production companies, etc.

 

Desired skills and experience

  • 10+ years of digital marketing experience at a business enterprise
  • Project management experience as a leader or manager
  • Web advertising (Yahoo, Google) advertising account management experience
  • Web copywriting skills
  • SEO knowledge and experience
  • Experience using various web analysis tools including Google Analytics
  • Experience in building and directing wireframes
  • Experience in creating and directing digital creative
  • Business English proficiency

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in English with overseas teams at a foreign company
  • Ability to write proposals and make presentations
  • Knowledge of production applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Working experience in production (including design and coding)

 

About You

  • Should possess the ability to elevate customer satisfaction in Japan while taking into account cultural differences between overseas and Japanese teams, and summarize the opinions of the team.
  • Be updated with current knowledge of trends and developments in online marketing and apply them to work
